Great Leaders Plan to Win

Psalms 127:1a states, “Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it:..” We can build our dreams according to a plan, but it must align with God’s plan for our lives. One of the greatest basketball coaches in the game, John R. Wooden of University of California Los Angeles, explained the importance of planning according to God’s plan for us in his book, “Coach Wooden’s Pyramid of Success Playbook,” co-authored by Jay Carty.

Listen in as I discuss one of the building blocks for success and the action plan you need to win. Whether it is in your walk of faith, business or on the job, creating an action plan ensures that you reach your desired destination.

Hearing from God can be a challenge when we're bombarded with so many messages from outside.
Our phones, laptops, tablets and tvs are loaded with messages from everyone giving us advice. Today I discuss
some tips on how we can quiet the noise and open up our minds to get the clarity we need.

John 10:27 lets us know that we belong to God and we know his voice. The key is to eliminate the outside advice of others and tap into the unfiltered presence of God. We must follow his voice in order to follow his lead.

Four Steps to Receiving a Miracle by: Angeline Lawrence

Trust is a common thread that connects people and enables successful relationships. Reliability is the key factor to gaining someone’s trust.  Our relationship with God must be built on the fact that we trust him. We must know that God is reliable and he’ll perform his word in our lives according to our faith.

Today, I talk about Trust and how to see the manifestation of a miracle in our everyday lives.  Proverbs 14:12 states, “There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death.” (NIV) We have to trust in the divine plan God has created for us instead of following a plan of our own.  Jeremiah 29:11 states, “For I know the plans I have for your,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (NIV)

Moving Forward: Life after Workplace Bullying by: Angeline Lawrence

Workplace bullying has proven to be traumatic for hundreds of its Targets. However, Christians in the work and marketplace understand that living Godly for Christ comes with a price.  God can take the traumatic events of our past and turn it around for our benefit. Today, I will discuss ways to move forward after being a Target of Workplace Bullying. Philippians 3:13 states, “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,” (KJV).

We have to look inward to see the gifts God has given us that can benefit others.  Moving past our pain will enable us to share our story of being an overcomer of workplace bullying. Thank you again for listening. All new subscribers will receive a free eBook, "Five Steps to Winning at Work: How to be a Power Player."  To receive your eBook visit the link http://bit.ly/1rdRCgs.

Part II: Peace in the Face of Adversity

Peace of mind is a luxury that many are living without. Targets of workplace bullying often suffer from emotional, mental and psychological injuries. According to the Workplace Bullying Institute, Targets of bullying have experienced the following Psychological-Emotional Injuries:

   Ø 80% Debilitating Anxiety

Ø 52% Panic Attacks

Ø 49% Clinical Depression: new to person or exacerbated condition previously controlled

Ø 30% Post-traumatic Stress (PTSD) from deliberate human-inflicted abuse

As Christians in the market and workplace we know that Jesus is our peace. If we rest in his word, then we can have the peace of God that is promised regardless of our current hardships.

Join me as I discuss the final piece of the Armor of God in Ephesians 6:15.  This completes our two part series on “Taking a Stand Against #Workplace Bullying. The Bible states in Philippians 4:7, “And the #peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (KJV) Standing in God’s peace will put you on the path to overcome the attacks from bullying.

Part 1: How to Stand Up Against Workplace Bullying by: Angeline Lawrence

Obstacles and hardships are a part of the game as we endeavor to get things done in the work and marketplace. However, as Christians we have access to the tools of power that will enable us to succeed.  We can take a stand against bullying while maintaining our integrity.

Eighty-two percent of targets of workplace bullying believed the perpetrators acted with a personal deliberate intention to do harm. So, it is widely believed that bullying is personal. God has given us his supernatural armor to protect us against such personal attacks. Today I discuss Part 1 of the two part series of how Christians can take a stand against Workplace Bullying according to Ephesians 6:14.

4 Steps to Deal with Workplace Bullying by Angeline Lawrence

Previously I discussed the silent epidemic of "Workplace Bullying" that is a global problem. Sixty percent of targets are women. In addition, 80% of the bullying is legal. Today, I will discuss a 4 Step process to deal with bullying as a Christian that I found to be impactful.

It took me years to perfect this method because I did not always get it right. However, once I read James 1:20 which states, “For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God;” (KJV)  I realized that swapping insults with my bully would not be effective. I wanted my peace of mind and joy back so that I could be free to help others.

The Silent Epidemic - Work Place Bullying by Angeline Lawrence

October 6, 2014

Over 65 million Americans are impacted my bullying in the workplace. According to the Workplace Bullying Institute (WBI) 60% of targets are women. The WBI defines workplace bullying as repeated mistreatment and abusive conduct, which includes threatening, intimidating, humiliating, work sabotage and verbal abuse.

As a former target of bullying I endured strategic sabotage and undermining on projects.  At times I was alienated because I refused to succomb to the school yard tactics of co-workers.  However, I sought the help of God and was able to develop winning strategies to overcome the bullying.  Isaiah 59:19b states, "When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him." (KJV)

As Christian women, we have the tools to overcome the devices of the enemy who does his bidding through others.  Ephesians 6:12 states, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickness in high places." (KJV)

Part 3 - The Spirit of a Winner by Angeline Lawrence

Part 3 - The Spirit of a Winner

Today we continue our discussion of the Armor of God in Ephesians 6:17 focusing on the Sword of the Spirit, which is God’s Word. The Sword of the Spirit is our first line of defense against any opposition we may encounter.

As we run our race of faith, we need the rejuvenation that comes from God, through his Word, which is powered by the Holy Ghost. John 6:63 states, “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.”(NKJV) Jesus taught his follower to live their lives according to the Word of God, which gives life.  Internalizing His Word in our heart and spirit empowers us to become winners.
