Part II: The Winning
Mindset by Angeline Lawrence
Today’s
episode with focus on the Helmet of Salvation, which protects our spirit and
gives us hope in God. Romans 5: 5a states, “And hope maketh not ashamed;”
(KJV). Our hope in God will shield us from the dream-killers and haters that
want to destroy the vision and mission God has given us.
The mind sets the tone for our success because we become what we think. If our thoughts are consumed with pettiness, unforgiveness and negativity,
then we'll be limited in our ability to get things done. However, if we keep our mind open to receive from God and believe that he will provide
everything we need, then the possibilities are unlimited.

Part 1 - Winning
the Fight of Faith Series
Today is
the launch of a new series that will equip you with the tools necessary to win
in your walk of faith. We are
overcomers, but how do line up our strategy of attack against the sabotage,
deception, alienation, back-biting and negativity that we experience every day.
Faith is
our shield against the spears of doubt, fear and failure that have been
targeted toward us. Many of us must deal
with workplace bullying, discrimination, difficult employees, disappointment
and the like. However, maintaining faith
in God will strengthen us to stand in peace and fight on to complete our
missions.
Listen
to today’s episode as I breakdown the Armor of God as outlined in Ephesians
6:12 with the center piece to it all Faith.

Perseverance: Enduring to the End by Angeline Lawrence
Facing harsh conditions and uncertainty is a
part of being a believer in Christ. However, we know that we have been prepared
to face adversity and overcome by the Word of God. Likewise, entrepreneurs and
marketplace Christians understand the risk and uncertainty of running a
business. Great companies find a way to face their current realities and make
adjustments to stay in the game.
This episode, Perseverance: Enduring to the End,
continues the discussion of the Stockdale Paradox, as outlined in “Good to
Great: Why Some Companies Make the Leap and Others Don’t.” I also look at the
scripture in Ephesians 6:10 that mandates believers to be strong in God.
Upcoming episodes with focus on the series, “Winning
the Fight of Faith,” which will detail the tools every Christian is given in
order to prevail and win.
Again, thank you for your support as we have
reached another milestone of over 1,100 plays. New subscribers to the
podcast will receive my free eBook, "Five Steps to Winning at Work: How to

In reading the book, Good to Great: Why
some Companies Make the Leap and Others Don't, by Jim Collins, he discusses
the Stockdale Paradox named after Admiral Jim Stockdale. He was the highest
ranking United States military officer that was imprisoned in the "Hanoi Hilton"
war camp during the Vietnam War.
He survived 8 years of torture by confronting
his current conditions and creating a non-verbal code to communicate with other
prisoners to destroy the sense of isolation the camp tried to enforce. He
stated in the book, "You must never confuse faith that you will prevail in
the end - which you can never afford to lose - with the discipline to confront
the most brutal facts of your current reality, whatever they might be."
Many in the professional world tout the benefits
of positive self-talk or encouragement. However, directing that praise to our
Creator will shower down blessings and joy beyond measure. Isaiah 61:3 teaches
us that God will comfort his children with beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for
mourning, and a garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. Praise
strengthens us and reinforces the fact that we are not alone.

The word "No" is small but powerful. As entrepreneurs dealing with rejection is a part of the game; however, it can take a toll on our confidence. Likewise, as Christians, we must learn to deal with rejection just as Jesus did being the author and finisher of our faith. He endured pain and rejection by his own nation.
Yes, it is hard, but if we change our perspective, hearing the word no, will get us to yes and much more. Listen to this episode as I discuss dealing with rejection. Remember, don't take it personal, it's a part of the business.
